Former Hdb Ceo Cheong Koon Hean Appointed Surbana Jurong Group Board
Surbana Jurong Group has announced the appointment of Professor Cheong Koon Hean to its board of directors in a press release on January 6. This move is expected to enhance Surbana Jurong’s ability to provide revolutionary, resilient, and environmentally-friendly solutions for the building industry.
Professor Cheong brings with her extensive experience in the public sector, having served as CEO of HDB from 2010 to 2020 and CEO of URA from 2004 to 2010. She currently holds the position of Chair at the Lee Kuan Yew Centre for Innovative Cities and is a Professor of Practice at the Singapore University of Technology and Design. Furthermore, she also serves as the Chair of the Centre for Liveable Cities Advisory Panel under the Ministry of National Development.
In addition to her new role at Surbana Jurong, Professor Cheong is also a Board Member at the National University of Singapore and the CapitaLand Group. She is also Singapore’s non-resident ambassador to Finland.
